rockets.jpgAll I want to say is it was a good run, but one that I’m glad to be over and it ended with a 20 point margin, 94 - 74 Boston.  No more media crap, no more Houston fans bumping their chests, no more Tracy “The only thing I know how to do in the first round of the playoffs is choke and cry” McGrady interviews.  They can finally go back to the Rockets that we know they are without their big man Yao.  Any Houston fans, sorry, it was getting too much.   Looks like Raefer Alston is taking over for McGrady in the regular season crying already.

Thanks Boston!

The Houston Rockets knock off the worst 8th seeded team in the history in basktball in the Atlanta Hawks to win their 20th victory.  I was happy for them, but when I have to hear delusional announcers talking about “this is their finest hour”, I think to myself WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT!  Do we not remember the ‘94 & ‘95 back-to-back wins by the Rockets (Eventhough those were the years that Jordan was retired)?  A team with Robert Horry, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Kenny Smith, and Sam Cassell, Hall of Famers.

Someone, just take these guys (meaning the fans) our of their misery.  They’re even making up songs for the team.

Pathetic.

I actually feel for my man Tracy.  What does he need to do to just get into the next round.  Is it into his head now?  I think that he played well enough to get the win.  I won’t go on to bash his teammates, but something must change and from what I am hearing, Jeff Van Gundy is out in Houston.  Would a Larry Brown perhaps get them over the hump like when he was in Detroit?  Now that would be somthing.  Here is the video:

The young Utah Jazz are moving on in the NBA playoffs with a new point guard and power forward combination.

With fresh faces — but the same, old coach — the Jazz beat the Houston Rockets 103-99 on Saturday night to clinch their first playoff series victory since 2000 — when John Stockton and Karl Malone were still running the pick-and-roll.

Carlos Boozer is the new inside force and Deron Williams is the guy running the offense. In Game 7, the results looked awfully familiar.

Boozer had 35 points, 14 rebounds and five assists and Williams had 20 points and 14 assists as the Jazz became only the seventh team since 2001 to come back from a 2-0 deficit and win a series.

“We have to finish up and see where we end up and then look back,” Boozer said. “If we get too excited, we won’t be having too much more success. We have to stay hungry, otherwise we’ll be going home soon, too.”

The Jazz also became just the 19th visiting team to win in 97 Game 7s in playoff history, a significant step for a franchise that hadn’t even been to the playoffs since 2003.

“It’s a great win for our young guys,” said Utah coach Jerry Sloan, in his 20th season in Utah. “I couldn’t be happier.”
