The Atlanta Falcons finally has a head coach…It’s Mike Smith…Who…Mike Smith…Who?
Written by Sports Dude on January 24, 2008 – 10:42 am
Yes, you may be asking yourself that as an Falcons fan, but we will find out soon enough if Smith, former Jacksonville Jaguars Defensive Coordinator has what it takes to rise the Falcons out of the Abyss at which they sit at this current time. テつJacksonville has always had a very good defense that were good enough to keep them in games and do this against divisional foes like Indianapolis and Tennessee, but their offense has always been average at best (They were better this year under Garrad as the starter)

Atlanta Falcons set to hire New England Scounting Director Tom Dimitroff as GM
Written by Sports Dude on January 13, 2008 – 12:10 amThe reconstruction of the woeful Atlanta Falcons’ front office continued Saturday with the team moving closer to finalizing a deal to hire Tom Dimitroff as general manager. Barring a late breakdown in negotiations, Dimitroff is expected to be hired to succeed Rich McKay as general manager. McKay has been offered a two-year extension through 2010 to remain as team president.
The 40-year-old Dimitroff is New England’s director of college scouting. He has no experience as a general manager.
Dimitroff is expected to help the Falcons hire a head coach, though the team began interviewing candidates while also looking for a general manager.
The Falcons are looking to replace Bobby Petrino, who quit after only 13 games as the team’s coach. Petrino, hired from Louisville, left to take a job with Arkansas.
Falcons spokesman Reggie Roberts said no deal with Dimitroff has been signed.

Michael Vick begins prison sentence early
Written by Sports Dude on November 19, 2007 – 3:26 pmRICHMOND, Va. - Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick surrendered to U.S. marshals Monday, three weeks before his sentencing on a dogfighting charge.
Vick is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 10 on the dogfighting conspiracy charge, but turned himself in because he was anticipating a prison term, according to a court document and a U.S. marshal.
Vick is being held at Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, a U.S. marshall told The Associated Press.
The order filed in U.S. District Court said テ「竄ャナ天ick has indicated his desire to voluntarily enter custody prior to his sentencing hearing. It appearing appropriate to do so, the U.S. Marshal is ordered to take custody of the Defendant immediately upon his surrender.テ「竄ャツ
The order added that Vick was taken into custody テ「竄ャナ澱ased solely on his desire to begin his period of incarceration prior to his sentencing hearing and not because of violation of any condition of his bond.テ「竄ャツ

The Mike Vick Dog Fighting Videos have been found and for sale on Ebay!
Written by Sports Dude on May 18, 2007 – 12:22 amThe Mike Vick Dog Fighting video has been found and it is now listed on Ebay.com to be bidded on.テつ Well, not really.テつ This is what the listing shows:
I have in my possession a FAKE video of Mike Vick at a dog fight behind his Virginia house. The DA is offering a $2,500 reward if you turn in a tape of Vick at a dog fight.
I am offering my tape at half price because it is not real. If you want to purchase this tape, then it is for sole enjoyment.
If you do bid, I will be expecting my money. So click on Buy it Now and I’ll send you the fake video. (Don’t expect much of a video![]()
ALL BIDS ARE FINAL. Maybe I can make some money off this STUPID IDEA!
* DISCLAIMER
This tape is not real and will never be. This item has been created for the sole purpose of a good laugh. *
Here the link to the listing. Seems that the investigators are giving a whopping $2500 for information about the tapes. I’m sure that if Vick does have a tape, he could break you off a little more than that.
I thought this was funny and I found it on the Atlanta Falcons message board.テつ This is another reason why we should let the investigation go on and stop with all of the speculations. In this country, you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and for some reason, this is not the case for some. Media, get off your lazy asses and get a real story instead off trying to make something out of a situation where people have to do their jobs. Like I said before, you are REPORTERS not INVESTIGATORS, so leave your spy kits at home along with your other spy gadgets out of the bottom of cereal boxes.
