How many acts in LeBronathon?

How many acts in LeBronathon?

lebronIf you want something done … what you do is either score or assist in 32 consecutive points in a virtuoso performance.

LeBron James has now personally won two games in these Eastern finals. First of all, he stole Game 2 on a last-second three, which now looks altogether straightforward and painless compared to the enervating route he took in Game 5 Thursday, when every Cavaliers’ point was scored through him over the decisive stretch of 11 minutes and 33 seconds. The Cavs were trailing 79-75 when he put his foot down by assisting Daniel Gibson’s three-pointer in the final minute of the third quarter, and they were winning 107-96 when James’ remarkable 32-point run concluded on the three-point drive created by his pass to Anderson Varejao.

USA Men’s Basketball Team off to a good start. Can they bring home the gold?

I watched the NBA’s top stars take on Yao Ming and his teammates on the China team start off a little slow, but pick up the pace during the 2nd period.  They just seemed to wear out China and just start running on the break, blocking shots, and getting easy baskets under the boards.  Lebron James was a man-child showing off his athleticism on blocks, dunks, and even knocking down the outside shots.

This team has great passers from Jason Kidd, CP3 (Chris Paul), Darren Williams, but they also have King James and Kobe.  I think that the only way they will be able to take it all the way is if they can get the likes of Michael Redd hot and continue to get easy baskets down low with Dwight Howard.  They probably have one of the best passing teams in Olympic history.  I know it was the first game, but it was good to see a 30+ point win for the US!

On a side note, the Lakers look like they may be getting a good player in Sun Yue.  You will be hearing more from this guy as the Olympics go on.

LeBron James guarantees Olympic title in China

No more bronze medals for LeBron James. This time he’s coming home with gold — and that’s a guarantee.

So he says, anyway.

James made his guarantee in a Time magazine story that hits newsstands Friday. The Cleveland Cavaliers superstar is featured on one of the covers of the Olympic preview issue.
After comparing the feeling of receiving a gold medal on the podium to opening a prized gift on Christmas morning, James was asked if that meant he would lead the Americans to the title.

“Absolutely,” James responded.

Asked if he guaranteed it, he repeated, “Absolutely.”

Jay-Z Deshawn Stevenson Diss Track (Blow the Whistle)

Looks like Deshawn Stevenson has stepped into some sh*t that he can’t get himself out of.  Now, the best rapper since Tupac and Biggie died is coming back at Stevenson with this diss track.  Not only have the Wiz Kids gone down 3 - 1 to King James and the gang, but now Rap Mogul Jay-Z is adding his two cents in and just check out the lyrics, taking multiple shots at Stevenson.

First of all, Stevenson coming out saying James was overrated was very dumb on his part.  If Agent 0, Gilbert Arenas, said it, I could ride with it.  But who the f*ck is a Deshawn Stevenson.  After hearing about the song, here’s his response:

He says he has a lot of swag, but I don’t think that’s something to do,” Stevenson said about James. “This is basketball. I’m not worried about the song. I’m not worried about what he did. But for Damon Jones to get on the mic. And I heard he was saying foul stuff about me and stuff like that, they’re taking it beyond basketball to me. When I had Soulja Boy here. It was on the court,” Stevenson said. “It was nothing disrespecting him or his family or even foul language.”

Oh yeah, Soulja Boy, sit yo young ass down somewhere.

Here’s the link to the song to check it out and let me know what you think

Oh Where, Oh Where has Carmello Anthony been? Oh Where Could He Be?

For a player who was often put up there with Lebron and Dwyane Wade, he has come up short when it comes to playoff success.  He has never made it out of the first round where his cohorts have been to the finals and with Wade, won one.  Now he’s going around saying that they “quit” against the Lakers in the 3rd game where they now trail 3 - 0 in the series.

I have not been a big fan of Anthony and have never put him up there with those other guys.  For a player to be surrounded with the talent that he has had over the years, he does not have the ability to elevate his game and the players around him.  And don’t give me this crap about it being the west.  At least you can look like you are competitive and they have not.  Let’s keep Anthony out of the conversation when we look back to the best players too come out of the 2003 NBA Draft.  He’s good, but not great.  Maybe that’s why Detroit passed on him saying that they have a Tayshaun Prince type player already.  At least he’s not Darko.
