USA Men’s Basketball Team off to a good start. Can they bring home the gold?

I watched the NBA’s top stars take on Yao Ming and his teammates on the China team start off a little slow, but pick up the pace during the 2nd period. They just seemed to wear out China and just start running on the break, blocking shots, and getting easy baskets under the boards. Lebron James was a man-child showing off his athleticism on blocks, dunks, and even knocking down the outside shots.Â
This team has great passers from Jason Kidd, CP3 (Chris Paul), Darren Williams, but they also have King James and Kobe. I think that the only way they will be able to take it all the way is if they can get the likes of Michael Redd hot and continue to get easy baskets down low with Dwight Howard. They probably have one of the best passing teams in Olympic history. I know it was the first game, but it was good to see a 30+ point win for the US!
On a side note, the Lakers look like they may be getting a good player in Sun Yue. You will be hearing more from this guy as the Olympics go on.

The US dominated the Olympics basketball. Its unfortunate that the sport won’t be in the Olympics next year.
