Gerald PoindexterAs we continue to see more reports on the Mike Vick Dog Fighting Investigation, the more it is looking like a ‘Witch Hunt’. WAVY TV 10 has had a new report everyday when nothing has changed in the investigation one way or the other. Do you guys need ratings that bad? It would be nice to see how the authorities go through the case and go through what evidence that they have.

According to this station, investigators have forwarded evidence to Surry County Commonwealth Attorney, Gerald Poindexter. But according to Poindexter, this is not the case and laughs in the face of the reporter and gets down right crazy in the video. Maybe you shouldn’t be popping up on someone trying to do an investigation.

Check out the video here of Gerald Poindexter. I bet this guy is a fun time when he gets some drinks in him. Just check out that shirt! Shit is pure comedy!
Let’s let the evidence or lack there of roll in and let the people trained to investigate do their job and leave the ‘Reporting’ to the reporters. I wonder where the unedited version of this tape is?

I think no body is above the law and that goes for these football players and any other person involved with this awful inhumane thing about these poor animals, maybe we should just take some of these person that are involved and starved them and throw them out into a ring and see how tuff they are than I hope they go to jail and stay there it just shows you what kind of animals they are.

I am sick of this circus. Vick hasn’t done anything wrong. People are trying the case through the media. Poindexter needs to publicly tell this to the media. Everybody is being too judgmental of Vick. Please get the facts straight. The informant sounds like he has been paid off. To me he is a fake! Poindexter do your job with facts. You need to bring closure to this circus. I love dogs but I am not accusing. Vick. Everyone has gone too far with this garbage. Think about real news. This is media assassination.

  4. Amy ClarkNo Gravatar Says:

Media assassination, Ellen?! You are a fool if you think Vick didn’t know about this. Along with Mr. Poindexter, you should educate yourself about how horrendous dog fighting is. They found 66 dogs on his property!! Along with rape stands and a bloody rug! Do you know what a rape stand is?!! And Poindexter has the gull to shoot down a search warrant! Where has our criminal system gone wrong? It makes me sick. Vick should go to jail for a very long time…period. But you know what’s going to happen? Vick is going to make his 20 mil this year and laugh while he’s sitting in his million dollar house trying to figure out where he can set up his next dog fighting camp. Wake up!!

  5. ElmoNo Gravatar Says:

If you wonder why there is RACISM in this country look no further thatn the mirror Poindexter. Do YOU frequent the dog fights as well?

  6. Elisha HillearyNo Gravatar Says:

It is so completely obvious that Gerald Poindexer is just trying to look out for his people, which is so WRONG!! He should be ASHAMED of himself. Here is a man that is supposed to be a voice in law and isn’t doing his job!! Matter of fact, that is why the FEDS had to get involved - because he wasn’t doing his JOB… he is sooo just trying to protect Michael Vick. It makes me soooo sick! Doesn’t matter if the man is black, white, or rainbow and doesn’t matter how good he can play ball… Michael Vick is a horrible person for what he has been involved in. I mean come on people, they took 66 dogs off his property and tons of dog fighting equipment as well. How much more evidence do you need when you are taking dogs from the property that are all banged up!!!! Poindexer should be ashamed of himself for protecting a monster who deserves to be punished. I mean I understand that he worries that Vick makes his race look bad, BUT TRYING TO DEFEND IT MAKES IT WORSE!! NOW HE IS ALSO MAKING THE RACE LOOK BAD… This whole thing makes me SICK!!!

  7. MarkNo Gravatar Says:

Hasn’t done anything wrong? Are you serious? Vick is scum, he should go to jail for 2-6 years. This Poindexer character should be ashamed for ignoring it.

  8. MD from CanadaNo Gravatar Says:

Problem is that Vick HAS already learned a lesson.
A rich guy like this must already realize that if he would have brought his dog torture practices to a third world country like Argentina he could do this all he wanted. I suspect he’s already looking for property out of the USA because just like all those sick pedophiles out there he NEEDS to see lesser, helpless beings suffer and die to truly make him feel like he is a man.
I say lock him up for a minimum of 10 years, take away all his money and forbid him to ever own a dog or leave the country so that he will not continue to kill and maim until the day he dies.
If the NFL Ever lets him back in I will NEVER watch or speak of the NFL again (except in a bad way).

Gerald Poindexter . time to look into this guy.

Surrey County residents: time to elect someone new

The shirt looks good to me. I think you just offended most of the State of Hawai`i.

  12. JenNo Gravatar Says:

Surry County Sheriff Harold D. Brown and part-time County Commonwealth’s Attorney (prosecutor) Gerald G. Poindexter cannot seem to find their way out of a paper bag! Or, are they currupt?

It’s really very sinple. Animal Cruelty is a Felony in the State of VA, punishable up to 5 years in prision for each animal abused/killed. Vick admitted to brutally tourturing and killing 8 underperforming dogs…so, get off you backside Poindexter and file the friggin Animal Abuse charges. If you don’t, the entire country, and thanks to the internet the world, will know just how currupt you are!

  13. Texasn for VickNo Gravatar Says:

Wow. I love the dog lovers on this thing. You guys have to be kidding. People are dying in Darfur and this is what you get fired up about?

This explains how we ended up in Iraq. People care more about poodles than the 600,000 excess Iraqi deaths caused by this pointless war.

The Surrey Count DA is my hero. To heck with PETA. We should be worrying about the ethical treatment of people first.

I’m going out to buy a Vick jersey. I don’t watch the NFL now but if Vick comes back I’m going start watching all the games he plays in.

    Go Vick!

  14. ROBERT JANSENNo Gravatar Says:

The world will be watching how the Commonwealth of Virginia deals with an admitted animal abuser. Are the laws of the state upheld in Surry County? I was delight to learn that Vick had been indicted by a majority black jury. I am so tired of this criminal matter being made a racial issue. BLACKS ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ENCAGE IN ANIMAL CRUELTY! Wherever and by whom such barbarism is committed, the prosecution should be swift and certain.

  15. NANCY HAMMONDNo Gravatar Says:

POINDEXTER SHOULD BE FIRED. NOT ONLY DID HE WAIT UNTIL THE SEARCH WARRANT WAS INVALID, I HAVE NO DOUBT HE GOT PLENTY OF KICK BACKS FROM VICK. PEOPLE OF SURREY COUNTY - WAKE UP. SOMEONE WHO BESIDES DOESN’T BELIEVE WHAT VICK DID WAS WRONG SHOULD REMEMBER IT IS A FELONY IN HIS STATE. POINDEXTER IS OBVIOUSLY A SOCIOPATH, TOO, AND DOESN’T BELIEVE IN FOLLOWING THE LAW (OR COMMON DECENCY).

  16. Beverly Thomas/Johnston, SCNo Gravatar Says:

I do not condone what Michael Vick and the others did, but I think people need to back off of this. This whole case is centered around Vick because of who he is. If he was an average guy, this case would not have received the publicity that it has gotten. We have other important issues to focus on, and that’s the only thing that should matter at this point. Innocent people’s lives are taken everyday, and there are so many injustices that still exist in this world today, and I do not see an outcry for them or these issues. Look at what happened to Meagan Williams in Virginia. She was kidnapped, raped, beaten, and tortured by six white people. Now you want to talk about inhumane!!! I value all forms of life, but I will protect a human’s life over an animals life anyday. Animals are being butchered everday for our selfish needs, they are used in science experiments, and the PETA organization kills thousands of animals a year. Now where is the justification in that? People you need to remember that the way you are judging Michael Vick, you will one day be judged, not by man, but by a HIGHER POWER!!!HIS Word will be the only one that counts. Man will not be able to save you or himself. As long as Michael and the other gentlemen ask GOD for His forgiveness, they all are forgiven. You judgemental people cannot take that away from either one of them. Look back over your lives and look at some of the things you have done. Some were good and some were bad. Some of you have done things that were worse than what Vick did, but you just haven’t gotten CAUGHT!!! So be careful because GOD has away of turning things around against you. Then you will be pleading for someone to give you a fair chance. Think before you judge someone.

  17. MarshaNo Gravatar Says:

    Beverly

If you have done things in your past as bad as starving, torturing, abusing, drugging, fighting, drowning, hanging, beating to death dogs for over a period of six years, you belong in prison too.

You can judge me for my past, but you won’t have to judge me for abusing, torturing, or killing ANY living thing for my fun.

It’s a serious crime. Those who abuse animals often get bored with this, and go on to abuse people.

Those dogs did not deserve this type of treatment, but Michael Vick deserves everything, and MORE, that he is getting today.

  18. Anthony Poindexter « RFP Says:

[...] Here is an article from 1999 profiling Anthony Poindexter and Dre Bly both hurting their draft stock by staying in college an extra year. Poindexter’s story of waiting a year too long to enter the NFL Draft has become legendary and has brought up the debate for college athletes being payed. When Michael Vick held a press conference telling the media that he was going to enter the NFL Draft, he said that he wouldn’t want to end up like Anthony Poindexter did. Ironically, seven-years and hundreds of dog-fights later, the local prosecuting attorney in the Michael Vick case was Mr. Poindexter (Gerald Poindexter). [...]
